I got a request for a pink unicorn and had a "why didn't I think of that?" moment. It is hard to tell in the picture but the hair is sparkly!

Rockin' Zebra
I finally went ahead and tried this zebra. I think he turned out so cute! I won't be doing too many of these little guys because he was pretty time consuming so if you want one order one soon!
I really love the way he turned out. Now that I've done a zebra and a giraffe what should I do next?

3 More Designs!
We got 3 more shelf designs to this stage. The only problem is finishing them. I am a black, brown, red, golden oak fan but I wonder if you are too. What color(s) should we finish these up with? I have about any color of paint and any shade of stain you could imagine. Let me know what you think!
36" Richmond

Shelf Names
With so many shelf designs (and more to come!) we decided they needed names in order to keep them all straight. Which one is your favorite?
The Santa Fe (48") with 4 drawer fronts
These are just a few examples of what we have done. They, of course, can be customized to fit your decor and taste. Many have drawers that work or just the drawer fronts. I am really excited about the Phoenix, Richmond, and the Lansing that are in the works right now.

Horse Puzzle
We came across this pattern in a scroll saw magazine and had to try it. It was fun to do and our kids have enjoyed playing with it too. They stand at almost 8" tall. We used oak for one and pine for another. I think the oak one will look great stained and am debating about painting the other. What do you think?

Happy New Year!
I hope everyone had a fun and safe holiday season but now that they are over I can concentrate on the blog again. I have missed "seeing" you guys. One of my New Year's resolutions is to stay more organized. I love the feeling of having a place for everything and everything in it's place. A perfect way to do that and decorate the house at the same time is with these shelves. Here are a few examples but you can customize one that would match your own taste and decor.
Glossy Barn Red with working drawers and pegs. This one was a special order that also has a small piece of wood running along the top so the proud owner can prop pictures up.Monday, November 28, 2011
